These two are the first of a series of reports that examines news media representations of China in Canada, aiming to provide a multi-faceted view of the Canada-China relationship that promotes understanding of China in Canada and supports positive relationships between the peoples and governments of both countries. The papers, published July 2019, are titled “China in Canadian Newspapers - January 2015 to May 2018: A Mass Data Analysis - The calm before the storm”, and “China in Google Trends - An analysis of Canadian search data”
